Fishermens Mission

For many years THE big FISH has supported the Fishermens Mission Charity. It is aimed towards supporting the wives and families of those fishermen who sadly are seriously injured or lost at sea. It’s a worthy and appropriate charity for us and we wish to bring awareness of their commitment and sacrifice to our customers and show appreciation of what they do so that the we can tuck into our delicious fish suppers. We have our very own animation created by THE big FISH as part of our awareness campaign which informs yet entertains customers and encourages donations. Please look out for our collection box situated near the animation screen as you enter our Stratford Branch. Alternatively, donations can be made directly to The Fishermens Mission at their website: www.fishermensmission.org.uk

Myton Hospice

Our local charity that we like to support is the Myton Hospice, based in Warwick. It is predominantly a care home for those suffering a life-limiting illness and a support network for their familes and loved ones. We were very happy to have taken part in the Myton Hospice Twilight Walk which took place around the Ryton Lakes. Hosted by Touch FM and attended by hundreds dressed in a fairy and elf theme. Big Blue our mascot also joined THE big FISH staff on this long walk and he managed to keep up. We raised £100 at this particular event. If you wish to show further support for this charity then please make any donation directly to: www.mytonhospice.org

Help for Heroes

We are supporting Help for Heroes with a Fundraising Event on 12th September 2012. Our target is £400 and to reach it we have gifts, special offers, a guest of honour and a raffel with the top prize being a pleasure flight from Wellesbourne Airfield. The event also commemorates the 25th year of the Seafish Chip Shop of the year competition and on the same day all the other 9 regional finalists around the UK will also be taking part in this worthy cause. We hope to see as many of you there as possible, please try and pop in and show your support. Or, visit the Help for Heroes website as they have some great items in their online gift shop: www.helpforheroes.org.uk
